Arkansas hope coalition

Our Mission

The Arkansas HOPE Coalition is a coalition of community organizations, faith communities, nonprofits, student groups, businesses, volunteers, and others working in collaboration to address the needs of at-risk and high-poverty youth and young adults. We acknowledge that no single organization or group can do everything and that we can magnify our impact through coordinating our efforts.

Individual volunteers are also welcome. We particularly seek to engage with students in the public school systems as active participants in program planning and engagement efforts.

Current Efforts

The coalition is working on formalizing requirements for membership in the group, researching student needs, and establishing our current capacity for program offerings and what we need to expand that capacity. This includes grant research as well as opening discussions with additional community organizations interested in participating.

With our current participating organizations, we feel prepared to engage in or expand work in each of the following need areas:

Food insecurity
Supplies for personal hygiene, laundry, and personal care
Tutoring
Mentoring
Financial literacy for youth and families
Entrepreneurship training and support
Clothing
School supplies
Help with existing, or establishing new, necessity closets at area schools

Collaboration

We collaborate with partners from diverse sectors and want to expand that collaboration to include others who want to participate in meeting the identified needs.

Your support enables us to continue our important work to improve outcomes for youth. You can support us through donations, sponsorships, and partnerships. Directed donations can be made to directly support the efforts of this project, and can be cash or in-kind.
